Do you like thrill? Well last year I went to one of one of Australia's top theme parks, Dream world. Dream world has 7 top thrill rides so if you aren't that keen on full on spinning twisting speed and heights then these are not the rides for you! the first thrill ride is the Mike Doohan's motocoaster this is when your sitting on a motorbike but its a roller coaster. all the way through this ride you feel like you will fall because of all the tops turns and spins. the coaster has 14 motorbikes and 2 side carts for disabled people or young children. This coaster reaches over 72 km per hour to see more click
here. The next thrill ride is the buzz saw this ride goes up to a speed of 105 km per hour, It goes from a vertical lift to a 360 degree heart roll then immediately drops by 90 degrees. I would consider this one of the scariest rides they have if you don't believe me see for
yourself. Next is the Wipe out, The scene is set for a turbulent ride full of mostly spinning up side down at fast speeds while going very high and very low. It is made to flip, spin, twist and tumble on a massive 40 seated gondola, it is made to shake every passenger to the core and to the point you feel sick! click
here to experience it yourself Tower of terror is on the other side of the giant drop. You go backwards through a tunnel then up the giant drop except you go backwards. It goes extremely fast. if you want to see more click
here . Next is The Claw, The claw is a ride where your sitting on a seat and it swings back and forth and finally over to do a 360 spin. to see more click
here. Next is the Cyclone. This ride is a coaster. It is one of the tallest high speed gravity rollercoasters in the southern hemisphere. You travel up to 13 storeys and experience 1000 tonnes of high speed. You twist into a 360 degree loop. You can see the loop going around at the water park next door that is called "White Water World"
here is a link to a video of the cyclone. Last but not least is the Giant Drop the reason most people go to dream World to experience the 15 second wait at the top of a 39 storied tower, and then a drop that goes faster than 135 km per hour! It is known to be the closest thing to sky diving and has carried at least 5 million passengers from when it opened in 1998. During the ride, Passengers experience falling 39 stories accelerating at the speed of gravity.
Those are the top 7 thrill rides at Dream World, so
if you are not too keen on spinning, twisting, heights, speed and extreme adrenalin rushes then
these are not the rides for you!
Hey Cailtyn it was clever how you embedded the hyperlinks into your reading. This is really making the most of web 2.0 tools and it makes your post really interesting and interactive for your reader.
ReplyDeleteClever you.
Miss H
Hey Caitlyn, hope your feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteI like how you have introduced lots of facts about all 7 of the rides, like speed and what it includes.
Also there is plenty of links, and remember when you were showing me the "The Tower Of Terror" whilst writing this blog post.
Very Good! :D
