Temepara George is an X-Silver Fern and X Mystic.
At the hight of 170cm tall she isn't one of the tallest Silver Ferns Around and plays WA and C.
She got selected for the silver ferns in 1996 but she didn't start until 2000 after the birth of her 2nd child.
She played for the silver ferns in between the years of 2000-2011 which I was lucky anough to go to her retiring game. She was also Vice Captain in-between these years. She has gone though lots of wins with the silver ferns against lots of countries such as Australia and England.
The Silver Ferns are currently 2nd after loosing to Australia in the common wealth games in 2011 by 1 point.
She also plays for the mystics who are from Auckland and are 3ed in the ANZ champion. She played for the Mystics from 2008-2012.
She isn't just a netball star she also was a star on Dancing with the stars with her dance partner Stefano Olivieri.

ReplyDeleteI chose Temepara George as she is my favorite netball player and I look up to her as she plays both the positions that I play, She also isn't the tallest Silver Fern which makes me feel like hight doesn't matter unless they are 7 feet tall
