My Kitten By Rubana

It had arrived, as soon as I ran into my room there it was, sitting to perfection. The little furry kitten walked towards me and gave me a welcoming meowww. She was the cutest kitten I had ever seen. She had green eyes with a slight touch of sparkling blue.

I walk into the funny - smelling Pet  Store, I examine all the different species. Rabbits, Mice, Frogs, Puppies and I finally see it, The cutest animal I've ever seen, Its blue eyes like the sea on a sunny day, Its Tabby coat that happens to be as fluffy as Candy Floss and the cutest curly tail that ends with a tip of white. I walk up to the delicate little kitten and decide to purchase the little fur ball.

Just watch as she gallops across the farm, her hair is swaying from side to side, she has eyes like pearls and fur so perfect. My horse Goofy is wonderful.

Zoe - By Dylan

At home I have a dog called Zoe, she is a brown and black boxer. She has skin cancer so we are trying to spend lots of time with her. She was my first dog and we also had a brown and white boxer called Buster. He rarked Zoe up so we gave her to a cop. Zoe is a well trained dog and we hope we get a dog just as special as her.

 Science Ignition Day!

Last Tuesday was our Science Ignition Day which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  Students were able to choose three experiments that interested them, and then rotate around each choice by visiting the teachers that ran them.  Some of the favourites had to be Boo Bubbles, Gloop, Lava Lamps and Making Sherbert. In the afternoon, the Kereru Team had some 'science experts' speak to them about their chosen career in their own science field.  One of the speakers was Brent who specialised in Chromatography.  Check out our fabulous photos of Fabienne who was chosen to be Brent's lab partner in his demonstration.

Great job Room 13!  It was an awesome celebration and a great way to remember the soldiers that fought for us.
