Touch season is starting
Our school is starting touch for the Sumer. We have nine teams entering the Summer touch season. We have had two musters on two thursday nights at 4:00. I'm in the under 15 team with six other kids. It's going to be tough but I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead with touch.I would like to thank Mr Fourie for the hard work he's put into it.
The sun shade
This is the sun shade protects us at lunch and morning tea from the sun. Also the shadow looks like a dragon fly.
Sewing with Mrs Bennett!
Over the past 3 weeks room 13 has been sewing with Mrs Bennett. We have learnt several stitches & how to use the needle when we are sewing.

At Reremoana we have to send back our books from our class library corners to our public library before they become over due.
Minecraft
Have you ever heard of something called Minecraft. well if you haven't then its a game of creativity and strategy, but mainly creativity. Minecraft is a really popular game because of how addictive and fun it is. Minecraft can be played on computer or xbox 360 (I prefer computer). You can also play online with people from around the world or with friends from their computers on something called a server that someone has created. You can also make your own server by downloading the server maker on minecraft.net, that website is also where you download Minecraft.
On Minecraft there is something you have to do all the time and that's crafting. if you don't know what crafting is it's a type if thing were you have to put certain resources in something called a crafting table. Right now you're probably getting confused so i'm going to show you in this small crafting video.
Next i'll be showing you the survival mode. The survival mode is when you start off in the middle of nowhere with no resources and you must survive for as long as you can. The best thing to do when you start a survival mode is that you must get wood. Wood would be the most important item in the game because you need to make a crafting table and to do that you need wood.
Now I'm going to tell you creative mode. Creative mode is when you can show off your creativity because on this mode you have an unlimited amount of every resource. You can build whatever you want from the most simple of houses to the biggest and most complicated mansions. You also don't just have to make buildings you can build statues or swimming pools and much more and I mean much more. The resources have a huge variety to choose from.
So if you're stuck on a computer playing the same old game and you don't know what game to get, get minecraft because I can guarantee that minecraft won't let you down.

Why I love rugby!
I f you look at this picture you could be the new him.The new Daniel carter. I mean look at him,obviously he is a good kicker. I love rugby because its really fun and or sorts of positions.I think you should play rugby because you never know you might be good at it. All the fun skills you learn like steping,sprinting, kicking and much more.
I want you to try rugby trust me you would love it. There are only a few skills you would need to learn before plaing rugby but those skills are really basic. I think you should play rugby because you never know you could be good at it. So get a ball anjd get outside and tyr it. Its your time to shine!
Friendship
Friendship is something that I find really important to have throughout life. People who are there for each other through thick and thin, also having someone to laugh or cry with. Friends leave memories that stick with you your whole life. You might even find you will be best friends for your entire life (which would be pretty cool if you ask me)! I love having my friends around me almost 24/7 and I hope we keep in touch when we split to go to different High Schools :). In this piece of writing I am going to talking about friendship?, what friendships are, friendships need and about my friendships as well.
Firstly, What is friendship? Friendship is a group of friends that that are kind to each other, people you can trust and you can tell anything to them. Friends are always there for you to lean on, weather you are happy or sad. Friends NEVER let you down. Whenever you are around your friends, you always going to have fun, even if you're doing work.
If you want to be in a friendship you need to be committed to be a great friend who is kind, there to lean on and ready to tell your friends anything. With your friends you will have heaps of fun, but only if you get along well with them well. BFFL (Best friends for life) are hard to find, but when you do, you will stay best friends for ages.
My friendship contains Caitlyn. N, Georgia. W, Caitlin. M, Kaite .L, Krisana .R (Who is my bestest friend ever, by the way!). We do almost everything together! From doing school work, to seeing a movie or going shopping together. Us girls also go to each others parties to which are hilarious! We have all the fun in the world and lets hope we keep hanging out together and still have fun in the future.
I don't know about you, but I really enjoy being in a friendship and I hope you have or find a friend that will stick with you forever. I think friends are the best things ever invented and they are the best things to have throughout your life :).

fijian rugby players
We all know that sevens rugby is fiji's best sport, and your not wrong.Fiji is starting to take over the sevens competition ,with nearly one third of the New Zealand's national sevens team being Fijian and also Fiji's national sevens team creeping up to first place in team rankings.
there are many Fijian rugby players out there and two of my cousins were very lucky to make it into the NRL ( National Rugby League ) and be selected to represent the Newcastle Knights. I am very proud of them, but my two favorite players will always be William Ryder and Waisale Serevi.

My pet's
Who doesn't like pet's well I know I do I'm here today to inform you about my pet's and why I like them. Firstly I have a cat, dog and I used to have a cat but I will tell you what happened with him later. My cat's name is Deacon, I will tell you about his personality and what he does for a job. Deacon is a very old cat he is around about 87 in human years and 17 in cat years. What he does for a day job: Deacon's day job is sleeping and bathing in the sun on my bed he's been in & out of the vet's about 1,000,000 times & he will soon pass on.

Secondly I will tell you about my dog Willis and what he does for a day job he is the most biggest black labrador you would have ever seen compared to Denzil's dog my dog is a hippo. He loves stealing shoes and jumping on people as soon as they walk through the door. It's sad to think that my family own the dog but Willis loves my grandad more then our family. You can tell when he's been having fun because he would come inside at 7 o'clock in the morning with dirt all over his nose which mean's that he's been digging up his bone's & bury them again. One morning at 2 o'clock he was sitting outside my window making a big noise chewing his bone it woke everyone up. He interact's with people well but when it comes to other animal's he go's absolutely ballistic. When willis is left at home on Tuesday's, Wednesday's & Thursday's he play's up once the council came to our house and took him from our backyard because he wasn't registered so we went to pick him up from the kennel's and my mum was so upset that they had taken them and not left a letter to warn us that he had been taken, when they said to us they'd leave a letter in our letter box so I was out on the street's looking for him in the rain at 9:00 pm.

PS3 vs XBOX
What do you prefer? PS3 or XBOX. If your not sure well this could change what you think. I have interviewed some people and this is what they think.
The ps3 remote is charged threw a cord. The xbox remote can also be charged threw a cord but you have to have bataries in it but you dont with a ps3 remote. So the ps3 remote is better in 2 ways the analog stick and now how it is charged. Why go out and bye bataries when if you have a ps3 you can just charge it with a cord. So thats 3 simple steps to charging a ps3 remote plug it in turn on the switch and plug it into your remote and play away but there is about 25 steps to charge a xbox remote getting in the car going up the road spending about $3:50 just to charge a xbox remote
The ps3 can play blue ray dvds and the xbox cant. That means the xbox can only play normal dvds. Blue ray dvds are for blue ray dvd players but the ps3 has some technology in it which the blue ray has so thats why the ps3 can play blue ray and the xbox cant.
With the ps3 you dont have to have a card to go online you just connect to the internet by placing and cable that is connected to your wireles into the back of the ps3.
The xbox can get a virus called the red ring. The ps3 can not get this. The ps3 dosent get most viruses because it is alot stronger than the xbox. The ps3 has stronger technology to kill most virus's. That means the ps3 does not get much viruses but the xbox does.

Inspiring people to me
Everyone has someone who inspires them,I have lots of people that inspires
me but I'm only going to name a few. First ill talk about Michael Jordan,
then my great grandad Wichman and finally my friends.

Who hasn't heard of the great Michael Jordan, he's known to be the best basketball player to step on the court. He was born on the 17 of February 1963 in Brooklyn USA. He's started his professional career in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls in 1984, he was only 21 years of age. He played for the Bulls for 14 years and missed only 1 season. After that he decided that was enough and retired. But in 2001 (3 years later) he got back on the court and played for the Washington Wizzards for 2 years.to me that's very inspiring but that's not all after he decided to retire again he decided to stay with basketball. In 2010 he decided to help the Charlotte bobcats that were heading for bankrupt and buy them. He's now The coach of them. Thanks to him the bobcats are now heading towards a bright future as a club. I enjoy playing basketball
thanks to him he's showed me that basketball is a fun sport and if you
can dream you can achieve.
Just think what it would be like in the war, the destruction and deaths. It would have been horrible, people that have experience that, havebeen heroes to their country's. But there's one person that was in the
war that inspired me to believe you can get out of any situation. That's my great grandad Leslie, he's a true fighter he survived the war in the islands and even survived the middle east. Sadly I didn't get to meet him but luckily my Nana had a chat to me. She said he was a shy man and loved sitting on his chair in his back yard by his vege garden under the peach tree. If he wasn't sitting in his chair he would be in the Manukau harbour fishing in his boat. I wish I could of meet him and have a talk to my great grandad. He sounded like an amazing person and he's missed and loved by my family.
Lastly my very inspiring friends, they have always stood by me even when I'm not the best friend I can be sometimes. Imagine what life would be if you had no friends. I would hate life and never express myself. My friends have inspired me to be the best friend I can be and
treat people how you would like to be treated. I think the world about my
friends and you should think the same about yours.
Those are people that inspire me and you should do a post on people that
inspire you. I would love to read it and see who inspires you, and see if
someone in your family inspires you like my Great grandad.

soccer in my life
Here is a picture of me in 2012. My first year playing soccer was awesome.I was only five years old. I played for Manurewa soccer club. I had the bet time of my life. On my first year the rules were way less lenient then now. Like back the you could be of side and get away but now you would get called offside. And back then it would be way easier to score a goal because everyone would crowd around the ball and you would just dribble though them and shoot and score because the goalies went as good.
Another fun part of soccer is getting the best and newest boots and trying to get the best boots in the team. It is also great because you can catch up with you mates.It keeps you fit.You get awards at the end of the season. And you get awards at the end of the game for player of the day. These are my boots in 2012
I think soccer is the best sport in the world because it gives you good exercise, It is also great because you can catch up with you mates.

Friendship isn't about whom you have known the longest,it's about who came,and never left your side like for example my friends. Ever since I started school I have been making new friends from 2005 and ever since then I haven't been a third wheel or anything,friends inspire you to do things you can't or are scared of doing,my friends aren't mean or selfish,they stick up for me and are their when I need them to. At times they can go a bit over board but thats's just them,we plan thing's that we all could do in the weekend or school holidays. My friends are my friends and that will never change me for who I am or for who they are to,friends aren't about who you like or not its about who chooses to be your friend and if you do as well. Friends care for you when you need caring,friends chose to be your friend its not about looks or anything either its about you and your personality not about them and what they think.

Mia
Purpose : Inform
Before Wednesday last week I just thought babies were things that could be cute but other than that they just cried, vomited, slept and ate. To be honest babies didn't appeal to me at all! But last week my aunty had a baby named Amelia.
Mia was born on Wednesday 22 August at 7:32 pm. She was a premature baby and meant to be born 13 days later. She has fluffy black hair which we are thinking will turn Blonde as mine did. She hasn't really opened her eyes much, but they are looking like a blueish greenish colour. She has really chubby cheeks but is as light as a feather.
On the 24 my aunty and Uncle found out Mia had Jaundice, Jaundice is a yellow problem with the skin, its also known as icterus. It's caused by old red blood cells. To fix this she had to wear these cute little goggles and be under blue lights. The blue lights made her look like a little avatar smurf (which only made her look cuter!)
After 5 days of being in Middle more Mia was allowed to come out because her Jaundice levels had come down to 191 which means under 200 is safe for her to leave. Lately she is not allowed to be under much sun so she has been wearing these little purple glasses.
I'm definately a proud cuzzie of Mia and I hope when she's a bit older she will share the same memories as I did when I first meet her.

My Culture! - Islam.

Being a muslim is a really fun thing because of the clothes we wear, the discipline we have and of course the famous food. There are lots of Muslims countries they are basically everywhere, some countries are Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Iraq, and Pakistan. Some people judge the Muslims about what happened in 9/11 but very, very small of us were part of it.
Firstly, some background information we have only 1 god and only 1 important holy book which is called the Qur'aan. We also have 2 main festivals, 1 of them are called Eid-ul-Fitr which is the festival of Ramadhan (our fasting month) finishes. The other is called Eid-ul-Adha which is the festival of the sacrifice of and animal like a cow, goat or sheep. We also have another celebration which is called Shab-e-baraat, that is our new year. Rather being in January ours is in the middle of July. Us muslims believe that there is an afterlife which in Arabic is called Aakirah. There is Jannat which is heaven and Jahanaam which is hell. We believe that in Jannat is a place of pureness and peace while Jahanaam is a place of fire and snakes.
Secondly, Islam has a lot of rules some of them are that married girls are only allowed to show their eyes and the rest has to be perfectly covered. We have to go to mosque every day after school to learn arabic. Those lessons are 5:00-7:30 and then we can come home and do our homework. We didn't have lessons in Ramadhan because we would get really tiered by the time we would get home late at night. We have daily prayers 5 times a day, there is one at 5:30 in the morning which is called Fajr, Zhur which is at 1:30, Asr which is at 3:00, Magrhib which is at 5:45 and lastly Isha which is at 8:00. Then the cycle starts again.
We have lots of cultural clothes and food. Some of the clothes girls wear are called Abaya's and the boys wear Jubahs which are long dark coloured cloaks. On festivals we wear Salwaar Kameez's which are really fancy and mostly made out of jewels or pretty little sequins.

And last but not least our world famous and divine food. Most of the food we eat has to be halal. Halal is when a specific type of meat is cut, the person who's cutting the meat have to recite a Dua'a before slicing its neck off. If it is not halal we are forbbiden allowed to eat it. My dogs Link&Buffy
To me Link and Buffy are the best dogs in the whole world but I'm probably only saying that because there my dogs but still I think they are. I mean just look at those faces there just so cute. I've had dogs for nearly 3 years now, Link the black dog who is a boy is the eldest of my two dogs and is two years old turning three on the 28 of November but in dog years he is 14 and is older than me. Buffy which is of course the yellow one is a girl and is one year old turning two on the 15 December and in dog years she is 7 years old.
One of the best things about having dogs is that they keep you fit because you have to walk them and they love to play, most of the games that my dogs like to play involve chasing them around a table or me throwing a ball and then hiding my dogs usually win because there so awesome.
Link is the nice one out of them both because when ever he meets a new person he would wag his tail, sniff them and lick them but he is the one who when you just want to do something on your own he will bring a ball to you and ask you to throw it for him. In away that is really cute but sometimes you just want a break from throwing a ball that is covered in dog spit.
Buffy is the naughty one out of them both because she likes to demand things and she play bites a lot for example I would go into my room for about one minute and then go back to her and she will wag her tail really hard and jump up at me biting my arm like I have been gone for over a year so that is one of Buffys really weird traits but that is one of the things that makes her lovable.

As you heard from the recordings the two students they both recommended iPod touches and they enjoy using them. They both had different opinions about them having a better experience with another device. They had positive feedback on the iPod. Even after a long time they still enjoy it lots.
The iPod touch was created by a really creative and successful man Steven Jobs. He started the company called apple which basically changed the way we think about technology. All of his creations even the iPod touch was really astonishing. If you think about it apple changed boring MP3 players that only play music into outstanding creations that can do more than play music but have a touch screen and play videos, browse the web and many more.
The main objectives in the iPod touch are mainly handy. Camera - Enjoy every moment of your life with this. Take photos wherever you go and have the quality HD. Face time - Keep in touch with your friends on Face time. With this you can video call a friend over wi fi just at the touch of the screen. Messages - It's just like having a mobile phone in your pocket so you can easily text any friend of yours. App Store/ iTunes - This is where all the magic happens download any app from a - z and play it running smoothly and fast.
