You know your fiji indian when you...

You know your fijian indian when you,
have a kitchen in you garage,
You wash your hand with dish washing liquid,
You have half a bottle of dish washing liquid left and your parents fill it up with water,
You keep the kava in a paper bag when its already in a plastic bag,
When dinner is at ten o'clock at night,
When your parents buy expensive alcohol and they don't drink it.
You know your fijian indian when...
your parents say its their house and when it comes to tidying it up it magical becomes you house,
When your parents call deodorant, under arm,
You drink tea on a hot day,
You know your fiji indian when you run out of space in your fridge and don't even know what half the stuff is.
You buy a dryer for your clothes and use it as a plastic bag holder and dry your clothes in the line in your back yard,
When you have a load of kitchen utensils,
You have a bunch of containers saved up in your cupboard,
when you leaving somebodies house and your in the car your parents honk or pull down the window and wave goodbye,
And you know your fiji indian if you said true to most to the above. :P

I love being fijian indian!

  1. Hi Sheetal,
With not being fijian indian myself I found it difficult to relate to your post. I did like the way you listed the things and the way you concluded your writing :). I wonder what sort of list you could make that others might be able to relate to on a wider scale?
